We're Erupting with Excitement!

We need volunteers!
To have the best adventure possible, we need lots of volunteers who can give some time, energy, and love to the kids who will attend. So let me float a few ideas about ways you might be able to make this program a success. Please check out the following list, and then pray about where God might use you:

Station Leaders: Use easy-to-follow leader manuals and prepare one twenty-minute session each day, then repeat that session as you lead up to twenty children in one of the following stations... NOTE: All of the station leaders would love to have an assistant station leader! If you would enjoy working with a station along with someone who has already volunteered, please let us know.

Sing & Play Bay
    Lead singing for VBS each evening in this high-energy opening session
Crater Crafts
    Develop craft plans based on LLI manual, help children create crafts each morning
Chadder's Island Bible Adventure
    Facilitate group discussions to reinforce Bible point shown in the Chadder video series
Tropical Treats
    Plan each evening's snack to reinforce Bible point; assemble and distribute snacks for each evening
Hot Bible Adventure
    Relate a hot Bible adventure each evening with props and actors
Lava Lava Luau
    Leading this exciting worship program each evening
Jungle Gym Games
    Lead children in games to reinforce daily Bible point

Want to help, but don't want to leap into station work? Be a crew leader!

Lava Lava Island Crew Leaders: We need at many volunteers to shepherd a group of five elementary-age children through each day's activities...and there's no preparation! Guide your crew from station to station and experience each morning's VBS along with them.

Still don't see something that interests you? We'd also love to have a:
Registration team - to work with preregistration, as well as registration and check-in each morning
Decorating committee - establishes decorating design, coordinates the building of major props and oversees installation
Publicity coordinator - responsible for publicizing VBS by coordinating with WGBC Publicity Committee
supply coordinator - responsible for publishing “wish lists” and to manage donations of supplies and distribution to each station leader
photographer - during VBS, takes pictures to use in slide shows each morning and during finale

Plus, there are a few spots for anyone who's dramatically inclined!  Whatever your gifts, abilities, and time commitment, we've got a spot for you!  We believe that God will use this program to reach many children with the message of his love, so please prayerfully consider your role in Lava Lava Island VBS.
